Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American musician and singer born in Washington, D.C., who was the first female to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. On the 21st of October, 2016, she released Pho, her debut EP under the Dreamville Records label. It was at this point that she first gained notoriety. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first posted music online in 2012. She released her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013 Five Finger Discount. In 2014 Ari Lennox released her own single Bound and her self-released mixtape Five Finger Discount. In 2015, she was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes album on Sweat it out on July 21st. J. Cole was interested by her talent and was looking to use it in conjunction with Rihanna.
